Pandemic Dance #16
viola da gamba and electric guitar
by Gene Pritsker

performed by Jay Elfenbein - viola da gamba
Gene Pritsker - electric guitar

Originally this music is for 2 sopranos and electronics called 'Perirrhanterium, stanza XIII' from the song cycle Poetic Subjects Eternal II. The challenge here was to arrange both the voice parts and all the electronics in the piece for this duo. the viola da gamba mostly plays sopranos 1 part but the guitar part had both the melodic content of the second soprano and the bass, chords, and counterpoint of the electronic track.
